- LCLee ChoiNov 12, 20251.0I visited this branch today to post several parcels containing the same items. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely unpleasant. The staff member who assisted me—her name is Meera, and she mentioned she is the manager—appeared irritated when I asked her to repeat her answers. As English is not my first language, I sometimes need people to speak a little more slowly so I can understand clearly. I fully understand that staff are required to ask about the contents of parcels, and I answered all her questions carefully. However, since all my parcels contained the same products that I sell online, my answers were naturally the same. Meera questioned this and remarked that I was “just repeating” myself, which left me quite speechless. At one point, she told me to “calm down,” which surprised me as I was not being angry or disrespectful—I was simply trying to communicate clearly. I felt frustrated and uncomfortable with how the situation was handled. When I asked to speak to the manager, she said she was the manager. I then expressed that I felt unwelcome, to which she replied, “I feel very unwelcome too.” In the end, I asked for the line manager’s contact details to make a formal complaint. I sincerely hope no other customers have to experience a similar situation at this branch in the future. I felt discriminated against and unwelcome simply because I needed clarification and spoke English as a second language.
